Her short story entitled “The Game Was Over” placed second in a contest conducted by Average Girl Magazine. Her essay, “Groundhog Day,” won Special Honorable Mention in By Line Magazine as well as Honorable Mention in the National League of American Pen Women 2006 Writing Contest.
